"Random comments"

Waste | at 06:59 PM

I'm quite new to blogging and as such I learn everyday. Yesterday for instance, thanks to Jackie247n, I learnt about "random comments", I'm still struggling to grasp the concept but if I understood correctly it's about people visiting blogs at random and posting a short comment. Unless I'm all wrong and it's about machines visiting blogs at random and posting a random comment from their large database of good-for-all-situations comments.

I guess it isn't this though. The latter one must be called "comment spam", Robert Neville told me about them last time because, thankfully, I've never seen about them myself. According to him, you receive some comments such as: "Hey, great site buddy !" or "I stumbled across your site and I really like it", then followed with a link to their own blog or some weird medical site a la enlarge-my-penis spam feast. Needless to say even if you're redirected to their blog, it's all about the same crap too. Scary.

Anyway, if like me you're a naive imbecile who doesn't know about "random comments" and who had a tiring day, you feel giving a reply is a must. And damn, did I reply ! Presumably I was very tired because I posted 4 long comments I think. That's... stupefying. But, thanks to this, something good happened today: it gave me something to write about ! I'm tired again (5 hours of sleep plus standing for hours under a burning sun) and I had nothing to talk about; my mind is plain empty and I really didn't feel like writing about some interesting or relevant, and so, as usual, I didn't.

Now I just have to figure out how many types of comments are left in the world besides "random" and "spam". Tonight, I promise (to who ? I don't know) I won't try to escape a decent time to go to bed.
